Privacy Policy — Social Impact Rewards (SIR)

Last Updated: 15 July 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Social Impact Rewards (“SIR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit socialimpactrewards.org, submit an inquiry, apply to “Connect Your Organization,” or apply to “Join the Investor Coalition” (collectively, the “Services”).

This Policy covers socialimpactrewards.org specifically. If you donate through SIR Giving (sirgiving.org) or participate as a farmer cooperative through SIR Farm (sir.farm), their own privacy policies also apply to those interactions.

2. Information We Collect

  • Information you provide: name, email address, organization name, role, message content, and any other details submitted through our contact form, the “Connect Your Organization” application, the “Join the Investor Coalition” application, or when scheduling a call with us (via Calendly).
  • Automatically collected information: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and similar usage data, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Information from third parties: where you apply as a Connected Organization or Investor Coalition Member, we may receive information about your organization’s publicly available impact data, or data you authorize us to access from a connected platform.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries and evaluate applications to join the network.
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
  • Calculate and report SIR points and impact metrics for Connected Organizations and Investor Coalition Members.
  • Send updates about the network (you may opt out of non-essential communications at any time).
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Services (e.g., hosting, scheduling, form, or CRM providers), under confidentiality obligations.
  • Connected Organizations and Investor Coalition Members, where necessary to calculate or report unified impact metrics across a portfolio.
  • Third parties, if required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information to third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and understand how it’s used. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, respond to your inquiry, or comply with legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, or to object to certain processing — for example, under the GDPR (EEA/UK) or state privacy laws in the U.S. (such as California’s). To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below; we will respond consistent with applicable law.

9. International Users

Our network includes donors, farmers, nonprofits, and investors around the world, so information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We take steps intended to protect information consistent with this Policy wherever it is processed.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 (or the relevant age of majority in their jurisdiction). If we learn we’ve collected such information, we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted here with a new “Last Updated” date.
